Scottish Wild Cat Kittens at play time. There looked to be three in the litter, the other off exploring.

Many thanks for your votes and very kind comments on my Harvest Mouse. And a very special big thankyou for PattiW for her UA.

I hope you enjoy these and thanks for looking.

Steve.

Hi Barbara, They are Scottish Wild Cats, native to certain parts of Scotland. There are very few left in the wild and are rarely seen in the remote parts. These are captive bred pure Wild Cats as part of a breeding program to re-establish the native population.

Kittens at play and a very good V2 showing the colour and markings so well. I read that one of the problems is that they will mate with feral cats so the work done to keep them purebred is really very important. Two excellent shots.
