Taken at Vienna zoo behind glass.I was so shocked this lion saw a young disabled girl in a wheel chair and charged the glass to get at her.It backed off and then stood there snarling at her. This is the shot of this,It happened so quick I just snapped the camera the back ground was half a shed so had to put in my own background.I am never tried hair and whiskers so this wont be perfect.
Thank you so much for all your comments on my last picture and a big thank you to Patti Carol and Myrab for their awards..Lin

She's obviously not happy with something, Lin. You've caught a great snarl there.

Amazing picture and I hope the little girl didn't have to much of a shock. ![]()

You captured the moment beautifully, Lin, and it's a shame about the original background. Blurring the original background is another option, but poses the same selection problems around the fur and whiskers. You've done a grand job here. Sometimes a bit of blurring of the outlines helps to make it look a bit more natural, but you have already achieved a mammoth task and probably won't want to do anything more. If you cut and pasted, then you can use the eraser tool at low opacity to feather the edges before merging layers. If you did the background freehand, then finishing off by using the paint brush over the edges at low opacity also works well.
Pamela.
