Hi all this shot was taken last year at the Slverstone classic race weekend and taken on a specially built small rally course.
But this was the best sounding car of the day
Hope you like it!

Nice shot and made even better probably as you had to stand behind a barrier?
The car is not actually an original but has been completely built from scratch by the owner. It's a fantastic piece of work.
The car is part of the Slowly Sideways (GB) group. The group was created by Reinhard Klein, the world leading rally photographer to show case the Group B and Group 4 cars.
Have a look at www.slowlysideways-gb.co.uk for more photos of the guys in action. We are their official photographers.
The cars will be on show and on the rally stage at Race Retro in March if you are interested.
Oh dear, I remember seeing one of the originals in the Mintex rally the year they first appeared......It won, easily.......The last big motoring event I attended.......I'm not going back to count the years.........It was mostly on snow and ice, just like today's, in Yorkshire............
Thanks for the memory!
Bill

Quote: As with all your shots this is lacking in real sharpness, it is just not crisp. Are you cropping a lot to get the framing ?
BOB

I looked up that clip, it randomly changes form into the previous Evolution of car half way through.
I missed the Gp B cars in rallying and only got to see them in Rallycross, but I've always been fascinated by them. "Too Fast to Race" and "Still Too Fast To Race" DVD's by Duke video are worth the money to learn more about the cars, I picked them up for about £10 on ebay for the two of them before Christmas.
Ah, Group B. Memories of standing in the dark at Chatsworth to hear a bellow, the twitter of the wastegate and then a bang as spare fuel was detonated in the hot exhaust. The latter accompanied by a orange flash that lit up the car. At least that's how I remember it! Lovely picture that brings the memories back.
Quote: I hear sliver-stone moved to Castle Donning-ton, is that right??
another great shot
Yes they have moved the British grand prix from 2010 onwards to Donnington Park :-(
Great shot. The slight angling gives the image lots of energy! Nice work.
THIS IS A GREAT IMAGE,LOVE THE FRAMING AND YOUR PORTFOLIO.... IF I COULD GIVE MORE THAN 1 VOTE FOT THIS I WOULD,WELL DONE.
