My contest entry for the junior contest, themed "autumn." Halloween is usually what I think of when I hear "autumn." Not knowing a ton about European holidays, I asked my mom if there were pumpkin patches and jack-o-lanterns during October 31st. She said no. Whether she was right or not, I thought a pumpkin patch might be a fun thing to go to and take pictures of. As you can see on the left panel of the diptych, there are hay bales stacked up on each other near a pumpkin patch that we went to. I'm not sure if it's big enough to see, but there is also a wrecked down house in the background, which kind of made me think of the spookiness of Halloween. On the left panel, I saw a dog (probably owning to the people who owned the pumpkin patch) in the field, and my mom got him to look at us. I thought it was cool to get a photo of the dog with the pumpkins.
I hope the diptych isn't too small! I don't know how to make it any bigger.
Good luck, juniors! This has probably been the funnest contest to prepare for, for me.
