I think I've had my money's worth out of the Mountains & Streams in Glencoe
and thank you all for votes and User Awards and for most recent Glen Etive 2.
Tonight we'll move to the Slate Quarry in Ballachulish which is really interesting to visit.
I didn't have my tripod when we looked around so I won't upload many!
I particularly liked this image with Birch trees in glorious autumn colour against the slate.
Have a relaxing Sunday.
Kate

The autumn tones and fluffy tree outlines contrast so well with the linear structure of the quarry wall here at Ballachulish, Kate. Would love to get up there myself.

Helen has summed it up! The colour of autumn in Scotland is so much richer than where I live. I love these yellow birches.

Beautiful foliage against the dark slate.
We have several slate quarries in the town where I live. They are now on private property and are difficult to access, mores the pity.

So interesting to see how the rock formation is on the slant
with the upright of the trees. Great colours too
