Lovey coloured berries - not exactly sure what they are but no doubt they will be a feast for the wild birds soon. Taken with an old manual focus c.1960 Zeiss Flektogon 25/4 on Canon digital.

Camera:Canon EOS 450D

I am being horribly nit-picky here, but I think the blurry berries at the bottom are a real distraction in an otherwise lovely picture. I would have cropped them out.

Nice bit of limited depth of field technique. I agree with Lynne but I think to get the full potential out of the shot you need to crop tighter

I played with two versions Lynn, one with the OOF berries at the bottom left in, and the other with them cut out. For me I rather liked the very sharp branch, and the OOF bit in the foreground, but I can quite see other folk wouldn't. I think you are probaly right, it's just my obsession with manual focus lenses from the 60s, and seeing how what they will do at different aperture settings. Thanks for your input, and I'll probably put another one up with all the berries in focus. HDave :o)

Thanks Chris, I'm a newbie at uploading two versions but I think I discovered how to. There's a first time for everything! HDave :o)

Thanks M, I think the berries are called cotoneaster? Good luck with the broadband, mine was a nightmare!! I hope yours won't be., and is fixed soon. All the best, Dave.
