Female Blackbird dislodging snow from it's perch, photographed at Belvide NR a few days ago.

This is the first bird that I photographed using my new 500mm lens, light conditions that day were not great but I came away happy with my first few images.

The Kingfisher image from yesterday helped my club to an astounding victory last night in an annual three way camera club battle, the judge awarded it a 20.

Immense thanks for the response to all who voted, commented and awarded yesterday, as ever it is all greatly appreciated.

This morning I'm off to try to digitally capture the Goosanders that have dropped in on a local pool, fingers crossed.

Superb, Barrie.
Reading your EXIF I can see that conditions were far from
perfect, however you have achieved a fine shot here.
