The Spotted Flycatchers (Muscicapa striata), nesting and feeding their chicks in our garden, are incredibly skilled hunters. Unfortunately I do feel sorry for some of the beautiful insects they sometimes catch, in this case a Large Skipper butterfly.
The purple in the background is a blurred wild foxglove flower, growing against the garden wall.
Taken 6.8m from subject, tripod.

A wonderful nature shot Sylvia, it looks like this large skipper has skipped his last!
