For me this picture is all about the colours, the summer sky and the mixed golds of the hair. The face is not important here.
It works for me because it invokes a memory of a hot happy Cornish afternoon, but does it work for others?

I like the use of space here, I recently shot just the blue sky in Brugge, just because it would remind me just how amazing the colour was. This works well... Dave

Great shot! I love the big blue space and I agree with you on the contrast of the gold reflexions on the hair combined with the sky.

Doesn't quite work for me because she's looking out of the frame and her face is in quite heavy shadow. One or the other would probably be OK but both together seems a bit much.
