Death Valley is surprisingly not dead, there are plenty of desert adapted wildlife/birds/ amphibians/fish.
However it is a harsh enviroment as here in Badwater. 800ft below sea level the lowest place in the USA and a challenge to photograph. I used a fish eye lens to accentuate the landscape and the heat ! Temperatues can reach over 125F in the summer, it was just 90F when we were here.

Great composition, but I think you mean 125F not 125C.

Like walking on the moon except they don't get sunny days there. 90 is more than I would be looking forward to. Living in Scotland warms the blood and we prefer chilly to cooking temperatures. Keep 90 for the Sunday Roast Ron. Love the lens use though, perfect.
