My third visit to Bamburgh castle and the first time unaccompanied. The previous day was very windy and rainy with not a gap in the clouds but the 24 hour weather forecast showed partly cloudy from 4.00. Decided to trust the met office and ventured out at 5.00. I was met by 20mph plus winds but, low and behold, part cloud!
This is the first image I made on the day. Taken at 5.45, an hour before sunrise. Its a 2 min 30 sec exposure at f11.
Got a few from here and got back to our holiday house tired, bruised and bashed from the wind but with a huge smile on my face! Great to be taking some photos again.
