Looked at this for a while and I'm not sure either, not that I'm an expert in any way, shape or form. I like the simplicity, layers, recession and overall composition/format though. Maybe a bit more contrast/tonal range.

Tony - yes I'd thought about come extra contrast - have to be careful not to blow out the whites. Will give it a go. Thanks.
