Took the frost on the fence last wednesday . This morning there was a special Workshop at our camera club . A marvellous man called Nigel Burtney led us through Photoshop. Absolutely amazing the buttons I didn't know about and after two hours I found I fell asleep !! Well I had been up since 6am. cooking and making two loaves of Sandwiches . LOL . Anyway I learnt how to drop shadow and emboss a font amongst other things . I could do some of it before in my own funny way but now I can do it properly .
The vote of thanks was given to Nigel for a most enjoyable morning . My carrot cake was mentioned too xx

I know you were experimenting with the lettering etc but I don't really think it adds anything to the shot here Mavis. The shot itself is very good and powerful in its simplicity, it doesn't need anything else.

Fine close up shot.

All the best
Matt

Nice shot of the crystals on the barb wire - great detail. Agree with Matt on the lettering.

I like it. Nice subject and composition.
Could use some dust removal though.

Not sure about the font on the image (although I do like the font). Cracking shot of the frosty barbs though.

The font looks very impressive, Mavis but I think it takes away from this particular image. I much prefere the one without it.
