Quote: Did you think of cropping to cut out the foreground furniture which I think detracts from the image?. Try scrolling up to see what I mean. Nice pose and lighting.
David
David - thanks for taking the time to look and comment - I actually liked the tables and arranged them like this! I appreciate that they might not be to everyones taste - I like the graphic nature of their shapes and while I do subscribe to the view that there should generally be a main point of focus I also like to be able to look around an image and see other things. If I thought they were the first thing that they eye went to then yes, I would take the out.
Love this. Great lighting and styling, beautiful model and well posed. My only reservation (and this might be my ignorance about Hasselblads) is the blurring around the model. It seems inconsistent. Her right hand on the bar is sharp, but under the wrist is a blurred patch. The mirror frames near her head are sharp but blurred when not near her head. Maybe it's just me, but it's a wonderful shot anyway.

James - thanks for looking - The blur was created in post production and is of the tilt-shift type. You would need to see the original I suppose to see how well (IMHO) it has worked to pull attention in an otherwise busy bar scene. I like it, but then I would! Kind regards, DrF

Thanks Senn ![]()
the way i see it, this is a great pic, to me being american, this looks like a perfect beer commercial. it looks like the furniture on the bottom is the top of the beer(the cap) and that beautiful bar fly is sitting there on top, now the commerical would come in with some crazy slogan about her and the beer.
