Last week saw the arrival of my new Sigma DP1s. I succumbed after I saw it for less than half the original price. It is smaller and much lighter than my Canon G10, with a sensor the size of my Canon 40D. I took all three cameras to this old barge and came to the surprising conclusion that the Sigma produces the best image quality of the three. Contrary to the EPZ review I can't even detect the slightest bit of noise; possibly even less than the 40D. So, here's an example, although the compression doesn't do it justice.

Marvelous detailed colour and rust. Great from a small camera, I don't really know this one, must look on the web.

There is certainly a wealth of fine detail to see, Rende. The Sigma is certainly a tempting prospect. Concerning the photograph, the perspective is amazing. And of course the rust is much appreciated ![]()

Blue and rust. Strangely beautiful, as they say. And the quality is certainly impressive, you got yourself a bargain.

I like the way you have taken this, the texture and the rust, excellent detail too.
I'm always sad not to see your images enlarged.
Wonderful detail and colours
