Have been after this shot for ages, always hard to get focus on them as they emerge from the grasses, so was pleased to get this, not brilliant but its a start, thanks for the award on the previous image

Agree, not easy to capture the image such as this, still you have done your best. The eyes are sharp and that's what matters a lot in the wildlife photography.
Small niggle, a tight crop loosing a fair bit from the bottom might make the image more interesting. It's my personal preference you may disagree.
I have been to your gallery and you have amazing captures. Well done.

thanks for the kind comment and crop idea whuch would work, the reason i cropped as i have is because this one for me anyway is all about the habitat so wanted plenty in the image but thanks for the suggestion
