We went to Barnsdale Gardens ( Geoff Hamiltons, that was, and is now kept going by his son) near Rutland Water on Wednesday, a warm but dull day. The gardens were absolutely gorgeous, I would reccommend a visit. This is a rambling rose which was growing over an arch, I thing it was called "Rambling Rector" Thanks for all c and cs. Have a good weekend.

A very beautiful image - V2 for the lovely presentation but V1 is so naturally lovely. Case of sharing the vote.

Beautiful rose, beautifully captured, Sylvia: I think I prefer V 1 with the natural b/g, the buds and second bloom acting as backup.

Two lovely images, Sylvia. I, too, have been to Barnsdale, what a wonderful garden, and I am so glad to hear that Geoff's son is keeping to going in his father's memory. Carol

Two beautiful close-ups, Sylvia, like V1 as it includes some of the background, but like the way the flower is reaching out of the frame in V2 Wink
