Headed up to the Lakes on Saturday evening with the intention of shooting this jetty at sunset then off up Catbells for sunrise [see earlier posts].
It was looking great for sunset with a nice high cloud formation over Derwentwater about 30 mins before sunset, but unfortunately this disappeared just at the wrong time and left clear skies overhead.
It was like spaghetti junction at this venue. Initially it was only me shooting. After a while a nice couple of blokes from the NE turned up [with their tripods in various states of collapse]. Then a nice couple from down South with their dogs ... and finally a couple from the Liverpool area [judging by the sound of their accents] decided to move on probably because of the congestion. Needless to say it was a case of trying not to trip over each other for the evening.
Best conditions [for me] came about 20 mins after the sun had slipped below the horizon.
