These are several shots of the exterior of the Basilica. It is almost impossible to get an entire view of it with the camera, so I stuck with pieces and parts. This was built between 1905-1909 by Rafeal Guastavino and Richard Smith, who were also the designers. There was no public monies used, it all came from donations. There are no wood or steel beams in the entire building, it is entirely of tiles and masonry. Tomorrow I will show you a few of the interior details.
