Coming back to our starting point we cross Bath Harbor. The sun is just coming through the fog.

Beautiful light! But the composition could be improved by cropping some of the sky from the top to place on a third, at the moment the horizon is going through the middle, there is little interest in the top of the sky so cropping it out would not have a detrimental effect, once again only my opinion and hope it helps.

Regards

Trev.

Beautiful misty light, Joline. Agree with Trev's crop, the 'thirds' would definitely work here.

A very pleasing and open harbour, Joline, with a good variety of boats, well captured. Carol

I have taken Trev's advice and uploaded the crop....I think I prefer the original myself, because i love the way the sky looks, but I'll be most interested to hear your opinions.
Thank you Trev for your suggestion.

Hi Joline.
The crop works better for composition, you could have cropped and still left in the hill and building on right hand side.

Regards

Trev.

a nicely captured scene.....for me, V2 has more visual impact because of tighter framing & more foreground wood stumps silhouettes. Smile

Two excellent compositions Joline. I think I prefer (by just the merest whisker) the crop on V2.

v1 for me as I like the space allocated to the sky - and I naturally rebel against rules !!!!
