An image taken at the War & Peace Show today. This is not a political statement.
Thanks for looking and for any comments and/or criticisms.
Great shot, Ann: he does look done in and battle weary.
Very well captured expression.
Those whiskers look so scratchy!
Certainly manages to indicate someone worn out and exhausted. Clearly a fine actor and a great image.
Very well taken, and compliments to the makeup artist.
He looks shell shocked Ann and you only shot him using your camera,
Great capture Ann ~ might be worth trying in mono sometime.
An excellent portrait, Ann. Carol
He's certainly a character Ann, so photogenic and also a very nice guy!
Like the processing on this one, that's a fine expression captured - hope you had a great day today?
I guess you had a load of fun though
A really strong masculine portrait. - gary
Works for me Ann!
Out standing portrait Ann, you really have captured the mood perfectly, very well done.
The processing captures the mood of the study...
great capture, tells the story nicely.
No wonder he is tired the war finished quite a few years ago.
I am in the midst of reading War and Peace but I suspect this has naught to do with that book, Still, and impressive view of something I did not want to see!
nice & gritty processing
Excellent portrait.. And full marks for not correcting anything.
Couldn't have captured a more appropriate pose and expression, Ann. Spot on. Like the detail here, the scruffy look to his uniform is in keeping with the situation he is portraying.
No need to batter him into submission to get his photo, Ann. Excellent crop, and the touch of topaz(?) is spot on.

Yes, a 'touch'.
A gritty shot, perfectly processed Ann.
A great shot Ann and he played the part well - Loved Dave's quip
Superb Ann - love the treatment here.
Congrats on your GEA.
wow that's a brilliant powerful image. love the detail. excellent work Ann. Paul
The attention to his face is way ahead of the attention to his uniform and cap, he should be a lot grottier in my opinion to be realistic. The parade ground is quickly forgotten when soldiers get into battle, caps are used for many things other than carrying insignia into battle, he looks apart from his face too fresh and his eyes are quite white.
More grot from the producers would have given you a better subject to photograph, your part is very good but the uniform just looks too clean and tidy.
Some of the great war movies of recent times had raised the bar in make up and costume, it's hard to cut corners and still get the end result right.
Excellent Ann,wonderful capture..Lin
excellent shot ,great detail and processing
Good shot, sharp well exposed but i have to say i HATE these fake WW2 soldier pics!
A great shot Ann - congratulations on the GEA
