Nice shot, you have captured the cold well, nice detail too. One thing that may (or may not) improve the shot though is if you crop out some of the right-hand side and throw the ponies off center. This would improve the image in my mind, worth a try anyway. Fantastic capture.

this is a beautiful shot made even more special by the snow. the exposure is well handled and its a fabulous subject. the ponies are just so appealing.
i agree with many of the above about the negative space to the right side and reframing with the ponies off centre is definately the way to go with this one.
i wouldnt worry too much, because its just lovely. it would make a great print.

Thanks to all for the very constructive critique, I will endeavour to frame the image whilst at the photo stage, and if not crop as needed, I am looking forward to the next winter scene that I can capture.
