Gone for the darker, richer purple tones here, Al. A small but.... is the image missing a focus of attention? My vision travels around but doesn't seem to settle.

Yeah, i think you are right Dave. I thought that when I was shooting and agian when processing, Thought about photoshopping something into the water (like Nessie!) but that would be cheating so instead I threw it to the wolves to see what you all made of it! 
You've certainly made very good use of the cracked ice in the foreground to create a lovely lead-in here. Warm light, very appealing.
