Some late night malarkey at Portland Bill, hunkered down by some old huts to shelter from the biting cold wind, waiting for it to get dark enough for the beams to show up against the night sky....no fun!
This is a two shot blend, captured from almost total darkness, one fast frame to 'freeze' the 4 beams and one slow frame to expose the land and buildings. As it was pitch dark I had to ratchet the ISO to 16000 (gulp) at f/4.0 to get 0.3 sec for the 'fast' frame!
