It is beautiful and that is why they called it the Beautiful Demoiselle Calopteryx virgo ssp. festiva.
This is an eastern form male, taken next to a mountain stream in Greece, where there were dozens of them!
I'll be back there next June to see them and the profusion of butterflies, check my website if you're interested in such a trip yourself.
