Probably my favourite image from this years summer holiday and soon to make it onto a large canvas for the lounge wall
Taken about an hour after my last upload and from a different viewpoint but of the same farmhouse which I believe might be Belvedere in San Quirico d'Orcia.
Thanks for taking a look and for the support on my other holiday snaps.
I can see why you like this Darren. I would gladly stick it on my wall
I have been wanting to goto Tuscani for a long time.
Would look good on any wall. Superb composition.
One to be proud of and admire on those cold winters nights
Fabulous shot Darren. You saved the best for last.
Thanks a lot folks and cheers for the UA fazzer, much appreciated.
Aw I'd have this as a canvas too, it's gorgeous Darren, lovely light on the farmhouse and a fab' composition!
Very nice too Darren, like the early morning light and tones in this.
I could certainly live with this hung on my wall! And I could live in a place like that, surrounded by all that magnificent scenery Cracking capture, Darren
Wonderful landscape Darren. Love the tones and the light hitting the building. Beautiful place. Superb capture. Have a UA!
Thanks for the comments guys and cheers for the UA Craig, much appreciated.
This is superb Darren - can understand why you want it on your wall. Personally I am not sure that the vignette helps it and I would do without but as always it is just personal preference.
Thanks for the vote on my image - I am now going to look at the rest of your Tuscan images!
Thanks Jason. The vignette come free when shooting a wide aperture with the 70-200 at 200mm, the VR II cured this 'problem' but personally I don't mind it usually although I agree it possibly doesn't work quite so well with this image. Oh, and before anyone says I shouldn't be shooting landscapes at a wide aperture (f/3.2 in this case) I did shoot the same scene at f/16 but thought I'd try to isolate the farmhouse from the background by opening up a bit and in my opinion this was the better of the 2 images.
Beautiful Darren, makes you want to grab a bottle and sit and watch!
