...took several days and several visits to figure when the sun hit this mountain, the interesting side faces north west, it was about 4pm at this time of day that got interesting.
A beautiful scene! I would nearly kill to have scenery like that close by! Just wonderful!

Love this landscape and I'm glad your persistence paid off Dougie. The light is so soft and clear!
Excellent, love the lighting & composure.
An excellent capture and well worth the wait for the optimum conditions ! So full of drama.Great to see. Gill
Nicely captured. Nice timing. Deep
Persistence pays off Dougie. A fine shot indeed, but you'll not have the northern side in sunshine for a wee while now
Worth the visits, the light is subtle, the shadows give the contours.
Well worth the figuring out Dougie, some nice light here.
It's the light wot done it. Unmistakably yours.
Dedication to the profession.
yes ... truely wonderful . well worth the effort
Majestic.......Dougie. Now where's me boots !!
Lovely light on the hill giving good modelling and as Chris says, texture too. The islands help your eye hop across the water to the focal point of the mountain.
Your persistence had paid off well with the light just perfect here, Dougie.
Definitely worth the time and hassle Dougie, lovely light and clarity
Isn't this the mountain that the dreaded Jeremy Clarkson drove up in a Land Rover?
Very well composed and light is just perfect, lovely landscape image,
As far as I can find out it was Ben Tongue a much smaller and lesser mountain than Ben Loyal.
Marvellous clarity and very well composed.
That's a wonderful capture with attractive light and detail. Great work, Dougie.
Oooooo....gorgeous shot !!!......wonderful quality as always !!......love that sky-line, very dramatic !!
Beautifully lit Dougie. Looks like you had a fabulous and productive trip
Wonderful clarity in this my friend...you groundwork has rewarded you well.
Finally Runrig's Summer Walkers is in the net. I think I've mentioned it several times. Hope you like the song as much as I like this image. Simply stunning - clear as a bell and sharp as a pin. Love it!
Come back for another look....
That's very kind Alan didn't think it would get an award now.
