Female Blackbird with a rowan berry........they have cleared the rowen of the few berries it had.........it will grow more it's only the rowans first year.

Your garden must be full of "bird perches" that lend themselves to photography, Julia
! You have a lovely curved branch and foliage of the rowan, but the bird is clear and sharp against a clean background, and the red berry serves to enhance what is already a fine capture of the blackbird.
Gorgeous shot, that red berry really is the icing on an already very nice image
Superb pose and perch, Julia, and the berry tops it off.

Berry nice but shouldn't she have a black berry 
how beautiful the plumage shines, and that orange berry really stands out.

just what I was thinking Julia, a terrific capture! Unfortunately our feathered friends stripped all of my blueberries this year before I got a chance 
A fine shot of this hen blackbird, the detail in the plumage is exceptional. And I thought some of my titles were bad! lol
