Hi everyone... hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas. Managed to venture out today for a walk in Bramhall Park. The light wasn't great for photos, but Beth's hair seems to brighten up any photo.

Thanks for looking and as always any comments/advice very welcome.

As a photograph it's quite "ordinary", sort of family snap rather than fine art. Which is fine.

What lifts this pic and attracts my attention is the beauty and poise of that young lady and the lovely colour of her hair. She's very photogenic and worth taking a little more time and effort with. Find a more neutral and less distracting background, get in a bit closer and play with more artistic crops. She's worth it Smile

Thanks Dave... I see what you mean. It was actually just a family snap (she's my daughter) whilst on a little walk today. The light was poor and it was just snapped as we were walking along. I agree, she is worth more effort!

Very nice. Agree with Dave. Also work on white balance and skin colour, I remember doing a mod on her before sometime, - and loaded another. Theres a video tutorial on EPZ TV called colour be the numbers I believe.

Regards

Willie

Says it all, really! Except that her lovely face and eyes make a huge contribution.

I think this is a beautiful portrait.

In the mod I cropped the image and lessened the clutter of the b/g by reducing its contrast and saturation. I added contrast, colour and sharpening ( too much sharpening in the case of her eyes ) to bring out the details in the model.

Alan.

Lovely shot !!....made special by that incredible hair colour !!!!!

The crops by 'miptog' & 'banehawi' are spot on, by placing her on the RH 'third'..................
