Yesterday we went to Bicton - the sun shone!
(I am so glad we ignored the weather forecast).
There in the gardens was this wonderful Red Admiral - it was pristine and so beautiful (version 2 is a close up, to show the glorious colours and markings in its lower wing.

Beautifully captured, the contrasting colours of the butterfly and the flower work really well.

Lovely capture, Karen, but I'm not sure what's happened to v2, it is excactly the same dimensions as v1 but with a black mask around the background if that makes sense. ie. it's not a closer view.

I think it's because I've uploaded it as 600 pxl rather then 1000! ![]()
A fab close up Karen, the detail and colours are simply glorious.
