Was on a hike today and spotted these Big Horn Sheep on the side of a mountain. They were quite far away.
That's quite good for that lens. I've taken lots of shots of these on the cliffs, but few as clearly defined as these.
This really is a lovely photo !! Very well taken !!
Well taken sharp shot, great light and I agree with Danny.
Handsome beasts, Sandy, well spotted and captured. Carol
A Great pic
Challenging distance but you have some great details here. Love those amazing horns!
Well captured, Sandy, they stand out well from the background despite the similar tones.
Impressive long lens shot with good detail and light, great work.
Lovely crisp capture of these handsome beats.
impressive.....wonder why the iso was so high on a sunny day? did you set that yourself?
Was wondering why you shot this at F/18.o but seeing the ISO 800 now I know, very good detail sharp and clear good shot.
Great colours. Would benefit with an increase in contrast
Beautiful capture; I like the tones and textures too.
One of your best Sandy, great composition with lots of detail. I love the way the sheep appear to merge with the rocks - good camouflage.
You did well here Sandy with the distance!
This is a lovely image , Sandy- very well taken , well done.....
It took me a while to find them amongst the rocky crevices .
full of detail Sandy a pleasure to view
These sheep are amazing-- so sure footed-- love their big horns!
Excellent group Sandy, looking forward to seeing these in Yellowstone.
Well spotted Sandy. You did well here as these animals seem to merge with their BG so easily.
Don't think I'd want to be on the receiving end of those horns! A very fine capture Sandy of these lovely animals
Remarkable how this animals stay on the sheer slopes, well captured Sandy.
Typical goat behaviour, Sandy
If it is climbable, then they will climb it.
A friend of mine from years ago, had a goat to keep the grass down.
It was always getting onto the roof of the car
Great picture Sandy!!
Wow - a lovely shot.
Lucky you to get such a good view of them.
Excellent capture of those big boys! Lovely place to go for walks hum?
The one in the foreground shows just how sure footed these bighorn sheep are, you have to wonder how he got there, more important, where does he go from there! A wonderful capture Sandy, you were so lucky!
They seem able to stand on a vertical wall on one foot, or so it seems.
A fine shot of these nimble nomads in their natural habitat
