Walking through the open fields above Malham came across a field of rather large cattle.
See V2.
Was wondering if we should turn back and then thought of Lillian in the pens with the big cats that eat meat!!!!!

These guys only eat grass....
Onwards we went.
As you can see we came out the other side with out any bodily damage..Wink
But kinda scarey for an ancient granny.

You were lucky - my sister and I were surrounded once by cows - maybe they had calves and were protecting them
but we were scared! I like your hairy cow though!

You were right in being a little worried as cattle can and sometimes do turn dangerous but these are Highland Cattle, renowned for their gentle ways. Mind you, you could still have been surrounded as they are so nosey and what seems like a gentle push to one of them could well be lift-off time for a mere human!!! My favourite here is V1.

I hear that the windswept look is all the rage these days, Barbara. And that's no bull.

Such lovely bovine portraiture you've got in V1 here. So sweet with that hair blowing all over the place Smile Beautiful colour too in V2! I like how he (she?) is semi-framed in V2 by that stone wall.
