- as I was trying to take an image of the last traces of snow after the onslaught of thaw bird's fright sneaked into the viiewfinder and I thought 'why the hell don't press the button' - naturally the eyes steal the show and if the eyes are the portals to the mind I wonder what the spiritual life of a cat would be; here I can read a purposeful intent though there was not a bird in sight, only bread crumbs, making it more puzzling; trying to dig further it's mind becomes like Chinese characters, not making any sense except for knowing it is a language bearing information from another world. I think there is a more universal emotion, not expressed by language but by body language and that many, maybe all creatures do share, a belly emotion, the feelings of content and drowsy after that belly is filled with wholesome stuff, so, maybe life boils down to the belly, that what it is all about, if the belly is happy all the body is and the mind is too thanks for looking and please excuse me for the accompanying rambling about a little journey through the cat -

wonderful image, and explanation behind it,

we've a lovely black and white cat who means the world to me, just never managed to capture his personality or soul in an image yet, but I will keep trying !

He looks really menacing. A very fine animal portrait, all the better for being opportunistic.

Lovely picture! Looks like our cat & he was a fiend for birds when younger. Now they are not a bit afraid of him & he just ignores them. But he is an older man of 16!

love this image and the narrative is fun. I think most creatures do share a belly motion - men certainly do as when they are full they like to burp and smile - No cat would ever lower itself to burping in front of anyone hehehe!
