Some experiments with black and white macro subjects.

This first one is chalk and compressed charcoal.

V2 is my favourite, but I'd suggest to have the focus not in the centre of the picture, but rather on the first couple of pencils. Would also be nice to have some detail of the black pencils, rather than a continuos black spot (I understand that maybe really difficult due to the large tonal range).
for the two couples (v3/v5 and v4/v6) I like better the coloured versions and also in this case I'd prefer a bit more DOF.
Very interesting set, anyway
