A more traditional shot, grabbed whilst walking the Keyhaven Marsh. I managed to get this one using my monopod which seems to have helped with the sharpness. Strange though as the shot before and after in the sequence were much less sharp?

Good flight shot Brian with good detail and composition. I wonder why there's not much interest in it?

Thanks Jim, PJ and Su.

Su - it was nice to have the sun in the right quarter for a change, that helped the eye detail a lot

Good point with the mod Cheryl. My trouble is I tend to record what was there, rather than looking for the best presentation during processing. I'll learn - eventually Smile

Doh, just realised I never commented here only on the mod, how rude and I meant to c**** as well.

OK, so my only point was that the bird looked a bit awkward at this angle, so I rotated slightly in the mod and cropped (but probably too much).

To much "DM stress" Cheryl? Smile

I didn't consider it rude, it was just nice to hear from you.

As I indicated, the gull was climbing hard when I took the shot, it then saw me (maybe why the eye is so clear?), did a sharp banked turn left and disappeared at high speed
