This shot was taken on monday 6th feb at my local pond. Pond was frozen over and covered in snow. Lots of bird activity going on and had the day off work, so thought be a good chance to practice my bird photography! I know the black headed gull is common and some people see them as a pain like most gulls, but i think they are nice looking birds with their contrasting colours of white, black and red. People were kindly feeding the birds thanks to the conditions which caused a bird frenzy. was hard to isolate single birds, but think i done quite good job here. hope you like!

A lovely capture. BHG can be a quite obliging subject and I agree with your comment about colouring. Smile
