Black Loch in Blairgowrie, Perthshire - actually situated in a golf course that i sneeked through the fence too very early in the morning to catch the mist.
The mist was quickly lifting and a few second later the sun completely bleached out the scene so I only managed to get 2 shots - i'm pretty happy with this although i would have liked to have got a bit more detail in the sky!

The morning mist makes the shot. Nowhere near as good without it or in 'normal' conditions. I think darkening the misty area would not be a good idea as it would quickly go drab and grey. Very simple and basic, but better for it. Assume you used camera support with such a slow shutter speed.

This is really lovely - well worth sneeking through the fence for.![]()

Thanks - and yes my camera 'off' a tripod is a very rare thing indeed!
I cropped it a little and lightened the fore ground a tad ,i am no expert but thanks for giving me the chance to try it.
it is a lovely image..

Its a beautiful shot, and well worth sneaking into the club.
Its very good as is, but I have attempted to give two different looks.
Mod1, has more space in front of the boat, less behind, space removed at the bottom, a slightly warmer tone, and exposure lifted a little in the foreground. Mod2 is a desat/sepia effect from the colour look up tables in CS6, and its called candlelight.
regards
Willie
