Get in there woman!

The clouds almost look like smoke from the chimneys.

This techniquereally does look best when seen BIG

I think you got a different angle to shoot from and it works. The mist hanging over the Buach looks like smoke coming from the chimney of Black Rock cottage.. I like the light illuminating the moor beyond the cottage too.

I love the colour contrast, it's almost a black and white photo but has the stark beauty of colour.

No, I know - you were busy shooting me! Wink

Seriously, though - it was worth shooting, wasn't it. It makes such a lovely subject, especially against that mountainous background.

Petra it's lovely to see different 'takes' of the cottage especially with everyone's different interpretations. Aren't the lines interesting - and was it chance or design I wonder that made them build the slant of the roof at the same angle as that of the Buachaille .. 8-]

What this says to me is raw landscape and extreme conditions - that red makes it feel alive and volcanic doesn't it. Tremendous effect and so powerful.

I really like this, simple, uncluttered, strong colours, the smoke is a bonus.

The different composition tot he standard shot works well here. Petra. You've made the most of the light hitting the cottage.

I have seen a few crackers of this quaint wee house of late and this one adds to my list of beauties...the fresh whitewashed walls contrasts so well with the Beauchy, such an enchanting scene Petra.

I didn't take one due to 6 cars parked outside it at 7am - wish I'd come back for one though. Very nice, Petra.
