I couldn’t resist just one more image of Blackrock Cottage from last weekend’s trip to Glencoe. Paid it a visit before sunrise for the moon shot I uploaded a few days ago, then went back later for a daytime shot.

Weather was awful that day, hence the heavy sky, but managed to grab a few shots between the rain.

Promise not to post any more of this cottage though as I do realise another puppy will have to be slain and I’m beginning to feel really guilty about it……but not guilty enough to find a different image Smile

The sky makes it for me Sue, been here many times in all sorts of weather, moody suits this area, but most people go for the sunny PC type image which isn't really what it's all about.

Great shot Sue - and even better being able to view it on a decent monitor instead of the work PC. Fab colours and composition. A just sacrifice!!

Best described as an outstanding piece of landscape work - love it. Over the years I’ve spent many hours at camera clubs viewing landscape work not a patch on this that have walked off with full marks - but this is an award winner and correctly selected. Excellent choice of placing the rocks in the foreground, the white cottage has been superbly placed, angled and lit in the picture against the mountainous terrain with the evil sky and streaks of lovely light running across the picture being the icing on the cake. Top draw work and a real pleasure to view. Needs to be viewed large to really enjoy.

Dave.
