Blea Tarn in the foreground with the Langdale Pikes, Lake District in the distance. Not sure about the composition of this so any constructive comments welcome.

This a good shot of a lovely area, is there a view showing the whole of the lake with the mountains at the back?

Hi Paul
Like the composition a lot, but it does seem overexposed no bite to it, would suggest allowing mods or adding a second image after going to highlight and shadow in photoshop, to control exposure, then adding some contrast, I do think this would make a difference. Only my humble oppinion mate.

Regards

Trev.

To me the composition is spot on - maybe just a little saturation required, but ONLY a little! I love the natural colours in this.

Beautiful scenic shot Paul, Not replaced the macro lens yet, but looking at buying the canon 100mm, already own the canon 60mm, but this only works on my 7D, need one for the full frame 5D Mk II.....................Martin

Thanks but it's a difficult one because as you head round to the left of picture when you get the whole tarn in you then lose the complete sight of the Langdale pikes. It;s a tricky one to get it all in. Thanks for your input and vote. paul

Understand Martin and thanks for your vote. . The 100mm will also allow you to be further away from the insects etc. Sounds a good choice. I have a 60mm nikkor macro but feel I have to always be very close to the subject - sometimes frightening it away. Go for it you only live once. !! Paul

Beautiful scenic shot Paul - IMHO I think its very slightly overexposed looking at the clouds - I have had a look in PS and if the top is cropped down to the top of the LH mountain and the bottom is cropped to remove the bottom bit of the lake to make a letter box view - works quite well - not an easy one all

It the clouds in this image that grab my attention Paul. I guess the mountains could do with a levels adjustment in PS...but this is still a very beautiful peaceful image Smile
