Would you do this with your new camera?
This is just a trial run to test my hand at it. I found a pretty quiet and open road and then attached my manfrotto suction mount to the door, it took ages, I wanted it on a part of the door that was quite curved, but ended up using a flatter part which actually turned out better. Anyway, standing at the side of the road almost getting run down and being stared at by people who must have thought I was either insane or breaking into my car, I just prayed plod didn't turn up, try explaining that!
Eventually got it attached, and tied a lanyard to the strap which attached to the headrest so even if the mount came away the camera wouldn't hit the ground.
Then climbed aboard and started driving with one arm out the window as I don't have a remote capture yet, it was okay though no other cars were around when I was driving and I didn't actually get over 10mph.
I shot at F22 for dof and 1/10 for blur using full manual.
Anyway I learnt a few things, don't drive towards the sun no matter how pretty you think it will look, and wash the car for better reflections.
Hope you like it. Suggestions about future subjects or uses for this technique appreciated.
