With my upload of 19 May shot, I said I thought the tree was just about at its peak, so next day I went out and got this shot, which, I think, shows it at just about its zenith, as V2, taken on 29 May shows the first signs of deterioration, in fact, since then it has been shedding so fast, you'd almost think it had snowed, so bad, I've had to start parking the car much further forward as it was getting covered! I've also added a shot of the tree for Moira (moiral) and one to show Tilly's clawwork, which I had mentioned earlier, these were both taken on 19th.

Many thanks for your wonderful response and comments on 'Russia's Kruzenthtern' very much appreciated and forgive me for singling out Neil for his UA, must be on a roll getting one of these two nights in a row!

A beautiful tree, Jim, but sad to see it shedding its wonderful blooms, though the scent must be heavenly. Well captured. Carol

That's a good sized lilac bush Jim. I can almost smell them. Lovely, especially v1.

Well composed and lit in v1, Jim. Excellent looking specimen, and the 4 make a good documentary set.

What a wonderful big tree, but can definitely see what a mess it must make. My favourite shot is V1 - beautiful, especially with those patches of blue in the bg. Naughty, naughty Tilly though. I would make her clear the deck every day till Mary comes home TongueGrinGrinGrin. Lovely set of shots Jim. Moira

That shot in V1 is really something, Jim. And it must be so amazing beholding that huge bush (more like a small tree!) in V3 in real life!

A lovely set of images of this beautiful lilac blossom, it looks like yours befell the same fate as mine ruined by strong winds and heavy rain
