This is a shot in Norfolk (UK). My daughter saw it - the contrast against the dark sky and the tree is a good spot. I mounted the camera on a tripod, and slowed the shutter speed down to try to blur the windswept wheat. It took about 5 or 6 shots until I was happy with the foreground, and I took some dust bunnies and distracting non-waving wheat out with the heal tool in Elements, but I'd be grateful for any comments as always.

A good idea, but, for me, the foreground is too blurred and takes up half the frame. I realise this was your intention, and you have achieved your aim, but doesn't work for me. You do need the image a little brighter, possibly half a stop over exposed.
I think I would have made more of the lone tree and less of the foreground.

I like the corn blowing in the wind. Also the green trees on the horizon provide a nice contrast to the dead tree on the right. The composition with the expanse of corn in the foreground helps to give the impression of the isolation of the dead tree.
The lighting conditions look a bit tricky though. You have a dark dramatic sky which gives a lot of atmosphere to the shot but the lack of light means the tree doesn't stand out too well and the corn looks a little dull. I have uploaded a mod for you where I have used the dodge tool to lighten the tops of the corn, the tree and the highlights in the sky. My idea was to help guide the eye of the viewer towards the tree.

I have to agree with what's been said above and personally I'd reduce the foreground, probably up to the point where you can no longer see the stalks or the brighter green ears.
And as has also been said, it's rather flat.
I've uploaded a mod. in which I've applied an "S" curve and cropped the bottom and RHS.
Hope it's OK.
