It's been a dreadful year for the Blue Poppies (Meconopsis) in my garden thanks to less rainfall and stormy conditions when they should be in full bloom. Only one, well established plant braved it and produced several flower stalks, only to have the flowers shredded by the wind. This was the final flower and just beginning to be tattered, so I gave in and brought it indoors. It's lying on a sheet of white paper and there's light from overhead and natural light from the window behind creating the shadow, which I rather liked and decided to go along with. I also had to do a repair job on a few of the holes!
A huge "Thank You" for your wonderful comments and support. I renewed my E2 membership last night. The plan is to look in when I feel I can, likewise with adding images. This image is for each and every one of you. Hope you like it!
Another big "Thank You" has to go to John (JG123456) for his greatly appeciated UA for "It's A Blue Day", yet another Blue Poppy image. If you have time, please take a look at his most recent image of a Brown Hare. He took several in the fields here and has just won a major photographic competition with one of this series. Well done John!
