For #20 in the Maine sequence we have one of the birds we came to recognise through the windows of Chris and Ann's house. We heard these colourful birds well before we were able to see and identify them, then came the opportunity to catch an image or two through the double glazing.

The birds were in quite heavy shade most of the time, so this was perhaps the best image
I managed, but it's good enough for me to remember yet another aspect of an amazing holiday!

1/400s f7 ISO 800

If you've got past the thumbnail (it's not very impressive) it may be worth going the whole way and viewing large! Thanks, Mike

These are raucous little beggars, I love to watch them at the feeder. This summer we had a hatch of 4 young ones, what a time they had! Excellent shot, and very clean windowsSmile

Attractive and well-taken shot. I'm sure Moira will mention windows when she reaches this one so I shall refrain from saying too muchSmile
