Everyone seems to be talking about birds on sticks in the Forum, so I thought I'd head off into the Forest to try my luck and see how difficult it really is.
I didn't use a hide, but used my years of field craft, knowledge of the subject and stealth to capture these very jittery little things. I used a fast shutter speed to stop their movements from appearing as blurs on the photo. I think this was 1/4000th of a second @ f8.
To attract them I set up a feeding station and put out their favorite food, hundreds and thousands, then waited. It wasn't long before the first youngster became interested. I think it's a rare form of Goldcrest, but I'll bow to other's greater knowledge if they can identify it.
Thanks for all the comments and votes on my previous up-loads, much appreciated.
