I rather like the composition here and I think the image works really well in bw.

I think that it's a little too dark in places though, so have put up a modification where I have adjusted the tonal range slightly. If you look at the reflection of the boat in the water, you can now see the various greys, rather than black. I also cloned out a couple of little distractions.

Hi Colin, ive uploaded a mod with some gaussian blur, hope you like it. It also looks quite cool with some diffuse glow.

I too have uploaded a mod. I've sepia toned it to make the wood look a bit more like..... wood! Smile

Colin, Its a good picture the composition seems right and it does work well in B+W.
I don't think it needs any fiddling with at all just leave it as it is. It would look even better mounted and framed on a wall in my living room!

agree with Dogend above! but Natalie is right in seeking to bring out the various greys in the reflection. great composition.
