This is from last year, have tried a bit of HDR and then a lot burning and dodging in software.
All C&C's even those that dont like at least say why
Nice shot and well processed !
I like it because you were able to give the castle the 'mood' of the old building with the HDR and dodging (and withouth going B&W or monotone). Never managed that myself .
The composition is not working so well though IMHO. Too bad that you could not get the lefthand side of the building in the frame. But I guess that it was filled with visitors?
But the treatment you have used here gives the right mood and atmosphere - great results of an image taken during the day!
Jacqueline, it wasnt people I am afriad to say it was down to lack of lens, 18-55 is the smallest I have so could not fit it all in, but I do take the point about the compostion.
Beautiful colour tones , lovely detail in the water

Perhaps you could consider taking a number of overlapping shots and stiching them together if you get another opportunity? That way you can pvercome the limitations of the equipment you have.
Nice shot though.
