This is from last year, have tried a bit of HDR and then a lot burning and dodging in software.

All C&C's even those that dont like at least say why

I like it because you were able to give the castle the 'mood' of the old building with the HDR and dodging (and withouth going B&W or monotone). Never managed that myself Smile.
The composition is not working so well though IMHO. Too bad that you could not get the lefthand side of the building in the frame. But I guess that it was filled with visitors?
But the treatment you have used here gives the right mood and atmosphere - great results of an image taken during the day!

Jacqueline, it wasnt people I am afriad to say it was down to lack of lens, 18-55 is the smallest I have so could not fit it all in, but I do take the point about the compostion.

Perhaps you could consider taking a number of overlapping shots and stiching them together if you get another opportunity? That way you can pvercome the limitations of the equipment you have.

Nice shot though.
