Morning everyong - Well good night really !

Thanks everyone for all your comments & votes on PERFECT STORM, really very much appreciated, glad It did'nt flop for reasons explained !!!

Well, I think Friday 13th came a day late for us, after I up-loaded the PERFECT STORM my computer died on me ! John got a new graphics card, and then all seemed to be well, then the monitor packed in - think there must have been a power surge that cooked the lot. So spent the day setting up an older back-up computer. Hope I caught up with everyone and did'nt miss anyone out - will double check tomorrow.

Well it was a terrible day weather wise, as it was for most of the country, but around 4.00pm it stopped raining and the clouds started to break - So grabbed the camera and rushed down to the coast ! Am I gald we did, what a sight, I have never seen anything like it in my life. The promenade and roads were covered in thick white foam from the sea - it looked like we'd had about 10 inches of snow, the tide was full in and crashing against the rocks, I have never seen so much foam ! The sky was amazing for about five to ten mins, got loads of shots, which was'nt easy as the wind was so strong, I'm amazed I got any really, it was hard work trying to keep myself still, never mind the camera.

Had a quick look through the images and pulled one out to share with you today, hopefully will have more time tomorrow to pick out a few more for the next few days !

I'm still amazed at what I saw - it was a great experience - so glad I made the effort to get myself down there, even though I was worn out - so hence my early up-load for today, I'm so tired, I could well sleep in tomorrow.

Well - hope the weather has'nt been too bad for you all !

Hopefully a better day tomorrow before it all comes back (According to the forecast).

Chris

Like this shot very much, esp. contrasting colours. I believe you've had a lot of heavy seas recently according to weather man. You certainly manage to capture great shots in atrocious conditions. And many thanks for your continuing encouragement to me.
Ronnie.

So enjoyed your write-up - what some will do for a good image! We had none of your weather at all here but feel quite sure it's saving that treat for another time! Love your image, so full of wonderful contrasting light and a great sense of movement.

Great shot Chris - love the lead in & the comp is perfect - great narritive as well. Ina Ps hubby & I were dithering all morning - every time we decided we'll chance it - it rained again - finally took a break from the Leopard & went over to Brighton - what a sight but I had to kneel down & anker the camera on a wall to get some shots & then the gusts of wind ruined half of them Sad

An amazing capture, Chris! We seem to have missed the high winds up here in Yorkshire (in Wakefield, anyway) - a bit bit gusty, and certainly wet, but no gales. Sorry to hear of the death of your computer, hope you soon get sorted.
