A similar upload to my last, this one carries more foreground interest, not sure which work's best, if any!!
I would appreciate your comments on this one, thanks for looking in.
excellent lighting and composition great reflections like the chains leading the eye down to the buildings
right on the nail.
Stunning,a well deserved EC,congratulations.
Unless I'm mistaken this is probably the best artifical light night scene we've had on ePHOTOzine to date!
Now that is nice.
Excellent shot and interesting view, I like the lighting and colours too.
WOW! Stupendous. Large version is magnificient. The colour, comp, perspective EVERYTHING about this I like. Paul
Beautiful lovely detail light tones and composition.

works for me,great shot.

Editor gets it right. Good night image
Another stunning shot, Difficult, but I prefer this one and it looks like I'm not the only one - congrats on the EC!
One of the best night shot I have seen.
Congratulations Ed, I hope it gets picture of the week as well
Whoops, sorry just added the word light so I'm not saying artifical night scene! I meant buildings illumination, not digitally manipulated. Sorry for confusion.
These night shots are the biz. Top class and deserves the EC. Congrats.
I didn't think your last upload could bettered, Ed, until I saw this. The combination of exceptional cityscape and foreground detail makes this a true classic. Many congratulations on your EC - richly deserved.

Nice one, absolute perfection.
Fantastic colours and light,
Think I said the last one was one of the best night time city shot I'd seen, Ed. This is almost as good but for me the posts in the water (which I don't remember in the earlier version) are a little distracting. But then what do I know - this has an EC, the other one doesn't!
That's just stunning. Very well done.
cracking image .....
Even better. Congrats on the EC.

What a success story Ed...colours and exposure all come together to project a scene that would make a great poster. Well done.
Enjoy your bottle of Vimto - well deserved.
WOW amazing shot
A spectacular shot with the sky and reflections, a well deserved award.
great that you didn't let the sky get totally black before shooting.
Thank you so very much.

Just HAD to be potw! Paul
Incredible. Just how did you expose this or is there a lot of PP....?
Exceptional shot! Compliments. Everything is great, from colours to compositiong passing through the lighting!
Missed this stunning pic, Ed, when I was in Vienna!
Thank you very much.
One of the best night scenes I have ever seen, a superb image. Well done on the EC.
Superb lighting. Absolutely stunning.
An absolute stonker. Simply superb night scene.
Well yes this is a stunning image but on a web site with such high standards of images I cannot believe how so many people have said the composition is brilliant and it is perfect yet virtually nobody has mentioned the composition of the posts in the water that end in such a fashion that they appear to be supporting the city buildings ... a slight change in position would have sorted this fundamental flaw easily ... but having said that - the image is very beautiful and although I have brought up this flaw (in my opinion), it is not intended to suggest that it should not be 'photo of the week' or receive any other acclaim because I LOVE the image apart from the posts - I just couldnt believe nobody was saying it already. Regards, Paul.
Thanks all so much for all of your positive feedback - it is much appreciated.
Just to reply to Paul above.....
I appreciate your comments, but it was in fact impossible to move the tripod any further forward without taking a swim. I may be a keen photographer but even I draw the line at that! To come any further left would have lost the chain foreground which I feel is THE fundamental part of the picture. Any further right, and again I am in the drink! Finally, to come further back again the chain is lost as the "lead-in". Believe me I covered every angle! I realise obviously if you are not actually in my position, it may look easy to just move a couple of feet here and there.
Great shot, Ed. Congrats on the EC and POTW.
That is a great shot really like it
Blimey; this is just soo good....
Hi Ed - yes I understand completely - my point wasn't with your ability to have taken a better position (although I suggested it knowing it may not have been possible), my point was that almost nobody was mentioning the position of the posts in conjunction with the buildings behind, which was not ideal, and when people say the composition is perfect I think it was reasonable to mention the posts. I still maintain it is a beautiful image and think it is a deserved POTW and I would love to have it in my portfolio - congratulations. Regards, Paul :0)
Nice one my son, great photo, cant beat that one
A nudge toward 200. This is absolutely awesome!
